BEARING SELECTION GUIDE

Slewing Bearing Preliminary Selection

Describe the application, design priorities, installation space, and available load data. The tool will organize your requirements and provide a preliminary structure direction for MERYDOM engineering review.

Preliminary structure direction Load data submission Drawing upload Engineering confirmation
HOW IT WORKS

Submit the engineering conditions. Do not estimate unknown loads.

No automatic capacity calculation

This program does not validate bearing capacity or select a final model. Enter the maximum design loads supplied by your engineering team, or leave them blank and upload the load case, drawing, or existing bearing information.

Step 1Tell us where the bearing will be used

Application and project route help MERYDOM understand whether this is a new design, replacement, or second-source project.

Step 2Choose the main design priority

This does not select the final bearing. It only creates a preliminary structure direction before engineering verification.

Step 3Submit available engineering data
Use maximum design or load-case values.

Do not estimate values that are not available. Leave the fields blank and upload the load calculation, equipment drawing, or existing bearing drawing instead.

Engineering review required

No structure should be selected automatically. MERYDOM will review the application, loads, envelope, gear arrangement, duty cycle, and drawings before proposing a direction.

Submit the available data; a catalogue or custom route will be proposed after review.
This is not a capacity approval or final bearing selection.
Accepted: pdf, dwg, dxf, step, stp, igs, iges, zip, rar, 7z, jpg, jpeg, png, xls, xlsx, doc, docx. Maximum 20MB.
Engineering review required. MERYDOM will use the submitted information to evaluate the structure route, manufacturing feasibility, and quotation requirements.
PRELIMINARY ROUTES

Four common structure directions

The selector organizes requirements around these common structures. Final confirmation can still lead to a different catalogue series or a custom design.

01

Single-row ball

Compact and versatile for many general industrial slewing applications.

02

Double-row ball

Considered when increased axial load capability and a larger section are acceptable.

03

Crossed roller

Considered where rigidity, controlled clearance, or positioning accuracy is important.

04

Three-row roller

Considered for severe-duty equipment and very large combined-load conditions.
